The Dutch Company is building new thermal power plant in Surkhandarya Region, Uzbekistan.

Ministry of Energy, Uzbekistan has signed an investment agreement of USD 1.2 Billion for the construction of a new thermal power plant in the Surkhandarya region. A thermal power plant of 1560 MW will be constructed by Stone City Energy. The company will design, build, finance, commission, operate, and manage power plant for approximately 25 years. Gas units and HL class steam manufactured by Siemens energy will be installed and it will help to save 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually. The project will be launched by the end of 2024.
The Ministry of energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed MOU with Siemens Energy AG. The companies will cooperate in various projects focusing on hydrogen energy, new generating facilities, power audit facilities, and modernization of the Hajabad compressor station. A thermal power plant with a capacity of 1300- 1600 MW will also be constructed. Link to the news:
