Singapore has also decided to jump on EV bandwagon by announcing major EV related investments for this year. The new budget for 2021 for Singapore includes an ambitious goal of setting up 60,000 charging points at public carparks and private areas by 2030, which is more than double of their initial goal of 28,000 charging points, and a capital fund of $30 million for the next five years for EV related initiatives. This is part of the EV Early Adoption Incentive (EEAI) by the government and help realize Singapore’s vision of vehicles running on clean energy by 2040. A major step in this direction has been taken by Charge + which recently announced to install 4000 charging points in 1200 condominiums by 2030.
