The House of Representatives has recently passed the Clean Energy Jobs and Innovation Act (H.R. 4447), for which the bill has now moved to the Senate. The main attributes in the act include a goal for the country to reach net-zero pollution no later than 2050, Energy storage is also prominently mentioned for its role in renewable energy, with the bill calling for consideration of energy storage systems and coordination of programmes in renewables integration, as well as the development of assistance programmes for energy storage and renewable-powered microgrid deployment.
