Electric Mobility in Latin America

by Aug 10, 2022

Still in the early stages of adopting the technology, Latin American countries are progressively increasing the number of privately owned electric cars (EVs) on the roads. With incentives and an expanding network of charging infrastructure, the region hopes to increase EV demand while reducing transportation emissions. By the end of 2020, there were approximately 30,000 electric vehicles in the region, supported by a network of 3,700 public EV charging points. As governments move toward cleaner transportation, the trend is projected to accelerate.
