Compared to previous months, the company’s domestic sales in May improved by 2% and the total tractor sales faced a small decline of only 1%. According to the company, increase in domestic sales was a result of the relaxation of the lockdown. Furthermore, the company expects the trend to continue and the demand for tractors to increase due to positive farmer sentiments as a result of strong Rabi crop production, higher procurement, good price realizations and the forecast of a normal monsoon. According to PTR the company’s market share in 2019 was 2.1%.
