China XD group to supply 1000 kV and 500kV power transformers

On March 8th 2020, State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), had approved the 1,000 kV Wuhu transformer substation expansion project in the Wuhu city of East China’s Anhui province. The substation was put into operation in 2013 and is considered to be an essential component of the ultra high voltage (UHV) transmission network in the country. The expansion entails addition of one 3,000 MVA main transformer and corresponding supporting equipment, and the XD group was awarded a contract to supply 1000kV power transfomer. A few days ago, the power transformer of the 1000kV substation expansion project has completed all the external assembly and oil treatment work, and the product has officially entered the factory test stage.
Xidianxichang, has developed six 500kV/250MVA on-load voltage-regulating power transformers for the Mengdong Xilin Gol League Aqi 500kV Substation, a project overseen by the State Grid Eastern Electric Power Co. Ltd. Link to the news:
