ABB has installed two synchronous condensers on Australia’s largest solar farm

ABB has successfully installed two synchronous condensers at Darlington Point Solar Farm. Project is owned by Edify Energy and UK-based Octopus Investments. Darlington Point solar farm is located in West Murray zone where weak system strength issue was identified. In New South Wales, various wind and solar farms have been asked to install synchronous condensers such as Kiamal and Finley Solar Farms. After installation of two spinning machines by ABB, the solar farm is ready to send power to the grid. Link to the news:
