1,600 tonnes of CO2 emissions to be saved by deployment of Park&Ride buses in York

Electric double-deckers buses and electric charging infrastructure has been recently established in York. Power supply is increased by installing an electric sub station at the depot in order to satisfy the additional power required by the charging infranstructure. A fleet of 21 buses is ready to be turned electric soon. Nine electric buses are already in service. It is expected to cut an estimated amount of 1,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission per year once all the fleet is electrified.
